F.A.Q.s

13 STEPS TO SUCCESS

  1. Mr A sustained a deep laceration to his hand whilst performing a judo display which involved the use of a sword. As a consequence of his injuries, Mr A suffered a reduction of strength and manual dexterity in his dominant hand and was left with significant permanent scarring. His hopes of pursuing a career in physiotherapy were also dashed.
After suing the organisers of the display, Mr A was awarded damages of £15,000.

  2. Mrs B sustained multiple injuries including psychological trauma whilst unloading pallets onto a trolley in the rear of a lorry. Her vehicle was stationary at the time and was hit by a bus, which collided with its tailgate.
Although making a full recovery from the more minor injuries, Mrs B suffered an exacerbation of a pre-existing back condition to the extent that she was unable to return to her pre-accident employment.
After suing the bus company, Mrs B was awarded damages of £12,500.

  3. Mr & Mrs C and two minor children were stationary in their vehicle at give way lines at a roundabout when another vehicle collided into their rear. The eldest child suffered whiplash and a strained ankle, and recovered £1250. The Younger child suffered minor whiplash causing discomfort for one week and recovered £500. Both adults received compensation awards in respect of their injuries for £2750 and £2250.

  4. A third party vehicle, travelling in the opposite direction to our Client, Mr D, made a right hand turn across his path, causing a collision. McEwens were successful on liability and recovered damages in full in respect of uninsured losses and personal injury.
We were able to negotiate £5,000 compensation in respect to Mr D's personal injuries.
