Mr A sustained a deep laceration to his hand whilst performing a judo display which involved the use of a
sword. As a consequence of his injuries, Mr A suffered a reduction of strength and manual dexterity in his dominant hand and was left with significant permanent scarring. His hopes of pursuing a career in physiotherapy were also dashed.
After suing the organisers of the display, Mr A was awarded damages of £15,000.

Mrs B sustained multiple injuries including psychological trauma whilst unloading pallets onto a trolley in the rear of a lorry. Her vehicle was stationary at the time and was hit by a bus, which collided with its
tailgate.
Although making a full recovery from the more minor
injuries, Mrs B suffered an exacerbation of a pre-existing back condition to the extent that she was unable to return to her pre-accident employment.
After suing the bus company, Mrs B was awarded damages of £12,500.

Mr & Mrs C and two minor children were stationary in their vehicle at give way lines at a roundabout when another vehicle collided into their rear. The eldest child suffered whiplash and a strained
ankle, and recovered £1250. The Younger child suffered minor whiplash causing discomfort for one week and recovered
£500. Both adults received compensation awards in respect of their injuries for
£2750 and £2250.

A third party vehicle, travelling in the opposite direction to our Client, Mr D, made a right hand turn across his path,
causing a
collision. McEwens were successful on liability and recovered damages in full in respect of uninsured losses and personal
